| Description | In case that on first sync using this music sync mask "\Music\<Album Artist>\<Album>\<Track#:2> $Left(<Artist>,20) - <Title>" Files do not have Album artist, Album then racks are synced to: "\Music\Unknown\Unknown\<Track#:2> $Left(<Artist>,20) - <Title>" and all tracks in that folder are assigned to first album art due teh fact it is only one albumart.jpg is created which should not be the problem until user update <Album Artist> and <Album> in MMW along with correct album art. So on next next sync Tags are updated but not the album art as files are recognized as existing and only MMA library is updated not file paths according to sync mask. Only way to make this correct is to delete tracks from Device and resync so that they can be put in right folders adn correct albumart.jpg is created | ||||

Peke, from the tickets UPU-107-49203, TYY-411-76216 I don't see much info as you had a remote session with user. Please specify: a) did you test USB sync or Wi-Fi ? b) did you enable '[x] Enforce use of sync mask for files already on the device' ? This option needs to be enabled to re-organize the files and folders structure on the device. Not sure whether this option is used during Wi-Fi sync, needs to be confirmed by Marek. But probably not according to (0012027) c) I guess that artwork is re-uploaded (both USB and Wi-Fi) once the artwork is modified ( 0012406), maybe you changed just the target mask and updated Artist + Albums tags, but not the artwork? |

a) Both b) '[x] Enforce use of sync mask for files already on the device' was disabled as WiFi Sync do not have it and Due the common MTP freeze issues we didn't wanted to risk c) Album art is re-uploaded (not due the 0012406, but because albumart.jpg was deleted). You were are right only Album+Album Artist were updated, mask was the same. Same problem arises if you have 7 tracks, each have correct album arts (per track) and no Album/Album Artist info (can be replicate in other cases but this one is most common). Then you use sync mask "\Music\<Album Artist>\<Album>\<Track#:2> $Left(<Artist>,20) - <Title>" all 7 end in same folder with same AlbumArt ending that 1 have correct album art and others wrong. |

OK, I guess that a short term (and simple) fix would be to update track.artworkModified timestamp once track.album is assigned (changed from Unknown to a value), this will force to re-sync the file and artwork. |
