Crash when pressing STOP after playing several tracks:
1 Play track 1
2 click next partway through
3 do the same for tracks 2-8
4 press STOP while the 8th track is playing
--> crash!

This occurs about half the time.

It should include support for AirPlay 2 and/or Google Cast.

In MMW/MMM 2027 if the user changes the order of the Playing list by sorting by a header
--> change sort order notification appears

however, clicking 'Save new order' in the notification OR via the icon in the toolbar doesn't save the new order (in fact it causes the presented sort order to revert to what it was previously).

It looks like Rating isn't getting the same orange color as other fields when a playing file is selected.

A selected playing file will have a lighter color than an unselected playing file. However with Rating it seems the color isn't applied correctly.

Reported in the forum and I can confirm as well:

The following both fail to lookup in MMA 2
Paula Cole - I Don't Want to Wait (from This Fire)
Paula Cole - Where Have all the Cowboys gone (from This fire)

And the following looks up incorrectly:
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath (from the album Black Sabbath)

The same problem occur with 1.4

As described at 0019714, when artwork is looked up, the resulting images:
- can be blank (as in the case of Paul Simon - Rhythm of the Saints) when a single source contains 40+ hi-resolution images
- can be irrelevant (when booklet art is presented instead of album art)

A solution to this is to:
- Look up a limited number of thumbnails (without presenting them) from each source
- Present 2-4 thumbnails from each source, preferring those that are square
- Present the remaining thumnails following the above

0021530: Ability to export auto-playlist criteria

Currently user can export all playlists like M3U format which is still just list of tracks..
i.e. importing such a playlist(s) looses original auto-playlist criteria

Exporting auto-playlists with its set of criteria would be beneficial..

EDIT: When user uses Right click -> Send to -> M3U/XSPF on Auto-Playlist in tree then *.mmap would be also Auto Created alongside selected playlist format, so that MM can import it as Auto Playlist

0021502: Properties dialog: Path no longer visible (regression)

In earlier versions of MMA, the Properties dialog showed file paths and if the file paths were too long to fit, they would scroll.

In MMA 2.0.3, the Path is shown, but if it's too long to display it gets truncated and the user can't see the full path or filename.

I found the original solution (scrolling) to be a bit annoying. Would it make sense to rearrange things slightly so that > 1 line can be used for path? e.g.

0014963: Add support for new classic music tags introduced in iTunes 12.5

iTunes uses some new tags for classical music from version 12.5. We should probably support them too. They also changed mapping of grouping field!

1) new fields
MOVEMENT - movement number. MP4 tag moov.udta.©mvi (number)
MOVEMENTTOTAL - total number of movements. MP4 tag moov.udta.©mvc (number)
For ID3v2 both saved to non-standard MVIN field, Number/Count.

MOVEMENTNAME - name of the movement. MVNM in ID3v2, moov.udta.©mvn in MP4
WORK - the name of the whole musical piece . Saved by iTunes for MP3 to TT1/TIT1 ID3v2 field (previous field for grouping). For MP4 saved to moov.udta.©wrk.

2) changed field - GROUPING. They use non-standard GP1/GRP1 instead of previous TT1/TIT1 for ID3v2. I would read grouping from GP1/GRP1 if exists, otherwise from old TIT1.

0021943: Sort on Date in Browser only uses Year part of Date

When viewing an Artist in Browser View, when sorting Albums on Date, it instead sorts on Year > Album. It doesn't take Month/Day values for proper Date sorting.

It's not been tested if this affects other Date sorting scenarios in MediaMonkey, other Date sort in List View where the full Date is used for sorting.

If the user edits the lookup criteria and then clicks the 'lookup image' button, MMA appears to be frozen because the keyboard obscures the 'Searching' indicator and the search results.

A trivial fix would be that when the user taps 'lookup image', the keyboard is closed.

Build 1319 crashes when saving artwork in some cases. I was able to trigger this as follows, though I'm not certain whether this can be replicated.

1 Enable auto-lookups
2 Play Enya - One by One
--> Artwork is looked up
3 Disable auto-lookup
4 Play Enya - One by One
5 Edit artwork
6 Set to apply to all tracks on the album
7 Choose previously looked up image save to the cache
8 Click 'save'
--> MM crashes/playback stops

0013470: Mixed list view for folder views

For folder views such as My Computer and Locations, as well as Playlists views, if the user is using a List View then users expect containers and associated items to display in a small format.

Currently, though, containers display in large format, whereas items display in the format expected.

It would be great if we could add support for these three list views to display both containers and items in a manner similar to Windows Explorer.

Unsure why, but 1 file consistently fails to organize. Even an MediaMonkey restart (and Explorer restart) doesn't resolve the issue. File does tag and play. Other files on Album and other files later organized without issue.

When clicking the scroll wheel and the moving the mouse the Filelisting and Playing Queue windows fail to scroll, Preview and Lyrics did scroll. Scroll does work in Filelisiting and Playing when mouse wheel click is executed on the scrollbar.

The Media Tree also fails, it executes a new tab.

0017693: Mass edits: improved handling of situations in which metadata within a field doesn't match

When performing a mass-edits and each track has different values for a given field, it would be better if:
1) The user was notified that attributes don't match by highlighting the fields in some manner. This could be achieved in the same manner as in the auto-tag dialog. There are 3 cases that would need to be handled:
a) the field is empty for some of the tracks
b) the attributes are identical except for case
c) there are conflicting attributes (Currently there's an implicit notification by virtue of an empty field)

The solution in all 3 cases, would be to Display the most common attribute for the field other than "" (in Orange to signify that a change will result) followed by an orange exclamation point (signifying the conflict).

2) The user was able to preferentially choose from among the values that have been entered. So when clicking a combio-box, rather than displaying the full alphabetic list, MM should display the attributes associated with the field (from most to least common), followed by a separator, and then the rest of the list.

When there are breaks in the Lyrics for an instrumental part the Synced Lyrics fail to show this break and nothing is highlighted anymore. Properties does show this.

Maybe the Lyrics can show a line with a music note highlighted to indicate it's an instrumental section in the Synced Lyrics.

Some numeric fields like date that support String values are used by user in specific format, we should make it possible that user enter custom format
eg. " " which would allow MM faster sort and would also make Library values more universal in case user decide to change displaying them in UI.
