1) For example it's unclear as to how ALAC can be enabled as Supported Format. The problem is that Audio format is separated from File type. So whereas elsewhere you'd choose ALAC MP4 (like in Convert format), in Set formats you need to select MP4 as File type and then it's unclear what Audio format would enable ALAC.

Solutions could be:
1 Use less cryptic names for Audio format
2 Use tooltips to explain each Audio format
3 Use documentation to explain each Audio format

2) Secondary is that because File type and Audio format are separate the user also would need to know which Audio formats work for selected File type. For example a user can select FLAC as File type and then enable MP1 as Audio format. If user fails to select FLAC as Audio format MM will not support FLAC on sync.

Solution could be:
1 Audio formats is filtered based on a selected File type, only show Audio formats supported by the File Types selected
2 Audio formats are greyed when no matching File type is selected

The Add and Remove buttons are rendered incorrectly. the label extends beyond the button and overlaps with the Displayed column. Making the window wider does not resolve the issue.

When you rate a playing file, both the Preview and Lyrics windows the scroll position is reset to the top of the window. It seems when Play Count/Last Played is being updated that Preview also resets.

A. For Preview Rating may be a displayed field, but for Lyrics it wasn't. ie. the windows reset even when the field being updated isn't being displayed in the window.

B. For Synced Lyrics this is a bigger issue as it's scrolling along with the Lyrics.

The installer should stop the MediaMonkey Service, install MediaMonkey and restart the MediaMonkey Service

There are issues where large amount of files in Playing list takes several seconds (or more) to load metadata before it can be used..

Moving Playing list from m3u8 file into database should resolve the issue and would result in much faster loading times..

When MediaMonkey fails to find Synced Lyrics it doesn't attempt to lookup static Lyrics. Instead after failing to find Synced Lyrics is should continue Lyrics lookup for static Lyrics.

If the user switches skins while a scan is in progress, MMM crashes.

The crash dialog closes when MMM terminates so it's not possible to submit the crashlog, but I'm attaching the debug logs.

When doing a Drag & Drop of ~ 19900 files from the Playing window to the Filelisting of a Playlist (empty) MediaMonkey crashes. Memory usage is really high (second time over 2GB).

0017693: Mass edits: improved handling of situations in which metadata within a field doesn't match

When performing a mass-edits and each track has different values for a given field, it would be better if:
1) The user was notified that attributes don't match by highlighting the fields in some manner. This could be achieved in the same manner as in the auto-tag dialog. There are 3 cases that would need to be handled:
a) the field is empty for some of the tracks
b) the attributes are identical except for case
c) there are conflicting attributes (Currently there's an implicit notification by virtue of an empty field)

The solution in all 3 cases, would be to Display the most common attribute for the field other than "" (in Orange to signify that a change will result) followed by an orange exclamation point (signifying the conflict).

2) The user was able to preferentially choose from among the values that have been entered. So when clicking a combio-box, rather than displaying the full alphabetic list, MM should display the attributes associated with the field (from most to least common), followed by a separator, and then the rest of the list.

When opening the Properties for multiple files, the dialog is slow to operate and memory usage spikes 1GB+. Closing Properties doesn't seem to release this memory.

It looks like after a bit that the Properties dialog becomes more responsive, memory use remains high.

1) When minimizing to the MiniPlayer, then restoring a few times, the MiniPlayer is rendered incorrectly.

The initial rendering is a taller window, then when it breaks, every time after it breaks it's rendered incorrectly. The initial rendering seems to have poor use of vertical space within the window.

2) Once in this state, the MiniPlayer will render in the top left corner on the screen the main window is running if it's used on another monitor. Placeholder--This functionality needs to be specced.

Currently duplicate management is a very complex/manual process. MM should have a single tool that allows the user to:
- Easily find all duplicates via a combination of existing hash (exact duplicates) and artist/title matching + fingerprinting to help automate the process for finding duplicates that are either similar sounding (different versions) or are missing track metadata.
- Visually display possible duplicates in a manner that makes it obvious which items are possible duplicates (e.g. grouping them)
- Facilitate selection of which items to retain and which to reject
- Automatically recommend which files to retain and which to reject (e.g. via rules based on bitrate, volume leveling, etc.)
- Automatically recommend which metadata to retain (e.g. most recently updated track OR merge of metadata OR selection of metadata, TBD)
- Allow play history of deleted entries to be merged with the retained entries (e.g. last played should be the most recent date, played # should be the sum of all played # values).
- Allow playlists to be automatically updated with the retained entries

Additionally, it should be able to handle cases in which the duplicates actually exist AND/OR cases in which there are duplicate database entries (even if the tracks do not exist)

Note: usecases could involve:
- finding duplicates within a set of selected tracks
- finding whether a set of tracks already contains duplicates elsewhere in the library

The issue happens when using both the Filelisting and the Playing, when a file is being in-line edited in the Filelisting, a right click Properties in the Playing will open the Properties of the file that was being in-line edited in the Filelisting instead of the file you right clicked on in the Playing.
