| Summary | 0017766: Casting: Failed playback on a remote device should have a clearer error | ||||
| Description | When playback on a remote device fails, the following error appears: Playback failed: %s cannot be decoded. This can be confusing to the user if they've played the file locally successfully, but then it fails with this message if they play to a remote device as it implies that MediaMonkey failed to decode the file rather than the remote device. A possible solution would be the following (which can be used for local or remote playback): Playback failed: %s cannot decode %s. e.g. Playback failed: MediaMonkey cannot decode VideoName.ext. Playback failed: Kitchen Chromecast cannot decode VideoName.ext. | ||||
