| Description | As noted in 0013585:0048769 MM5 Backup feature be enhanced to accompany additional features so that user can easily switch Devices or restore DB. 0. Backup Should create compressed version of MM Library as in case of large libraries compressed size is up to 1/10 size of original Library file (Pic Attached) 1. Add Context Menu at current Backup Now with Options (Backup To custom Path) EDIT: a) with support for cloud backup 2. Add Context menu to Restore from Backup with Options (Restore from custom Path) 3. During Install/Initial startup wizard it could be useful to allow user to choose DB file it will be used (ATM Only MM4 Library is proposed to be imported in Both Portable and Normal installs). We should consider adding additional wizard part where UI will allow user to import MM4 or choose MM(5).DB using file browser, It would eliminate Import Dialog and allow user more control 3a. As we support Google and other Cloud based services it could be good to make it possible to Import Cloud Based Backups and MMS Library. This is very low priority as User can easily sync Cloud Based folder locally and it can be chosen to import. Also MMS Library can be imported on Sync/Setup of MMS. 4. Under help there should be an option to start first start Wizard that would reset MM5 state without need for reinstall. 4a. Maybe it is better to put Factory Reset and Startup wizard into context menu of Clear Database? EDIT: added test results From 0016178 and reported in 0016176:0056366 EDIT: From 0015663: 5. Backup Now button would use Default location set in 1. always and will not prompt where to backup (preferred) 6. Add Time option when MM5 will keep backups (DropDown with selections on 30 Min) 7. Compress MM.DB into .MMDBackup to save space (Later we can assign MM5 to Extension in order to auto import backups on double click in explorer) 8. Warn user if Destination folder is not available or limited access | ||||
