Summary0014278: MMA crashes upon initiating chromecast playback
DescriptionChromecasting is broken in build 706:

Case A:
1 Play 'I ran' (by A flock of seagulls)
2 In NP Art view, enable output to chromecast
--> Playback starts
--> MMA crashes
--> Playback continues
--> MMMA re-appears + 'Chromecast disconnected' toast message appears
--> Playback continues -- there's no way to stop it, as MMA is disconnected!!
Debug log 6XVFE4XIXW

Case B:
1 Play 'All along the watchtower' and stop it
2 In NP Art view, enable output to chromecast
3 Press Play to start playback of 'All along the watchtower'
--> Nothing happens
--> After a 30s MMA crashes
Debug log B248LSX5TD

Then start Chromecasting to the same device with a third party player or earlier build of MMA --> it works correctly.

Fixed in build708

When testing with a Nexus 5x/Android 7:
---------------------------------------
-Case A still triggers a crash:
1 Play 'Someday you will be loved' (by Death Cab for Cutie)
2 In NP Art view, enable output to chromecast
--> Playback starts
--> MMA crashes and restarts automatically while playback continues!!
Debug log: 5ES2VTJWNU
At this point, behaviour is inconsistent:
3 Press Next
i) --> playback sometimes continues normally
ii) --> pressing next sometimes has no effect and playback stops once content in the chromecast buffer has exhausted

-Case B no longer triggers a crash consistently. i.e. initiating the chromecast connection and _then_ starting playback works fine. Also, once playback is started in this fashion, pressing Next/Previous or switching to a different track in the NP list by clicking it _usually_ works, although occasionally it crashes in the same manner as Case A i.e.
--> Playback (Battle for evermore) starts
--> MMA crashes and restarts automatically while playback continues!!
Debug log: SXMCX74RW6

The other strange behavior in Case B (when playback is working correctly) is that upon switching tracks, the seekbar starts at :04 seconds then resets to :00 and playback starts.

[EDIT: upon further testing, Case B is always triggering a crash now--I've been unable to determine why it didn't before and does now].

Testing with an Honor 5x / CM 14.1:
-----------------------------------
-Case A:
--> "chromecast disconnected" message

Testing with an LG Tab 3 / Android 6:
-------------------------------------
Case A/B worked as expected.

Testing with a Huawei Y6 / Android 5:
-------------------------------------
Case A/B work as expected

So it seems that the chromecasting stability problems in this bug are specific to Android 7.
