| Description | Loading the Playlists in the Classification tab can take a while making the Properties unresponsive and reducing the usefulness of the Classification tab for editing. 1) Instead the the Classification tab should be loaded and once loaded (in the meanwhile showing loading ... graphic) the Playlists should be loaded in. This would allow the user to quickly make the necessary edits without having to wait for the Playlists to be loaded. 2) Similarly Find More from Same > Playlists can be slow to load with no feedback to use anything is happening. A loading graphic would show the user that MediaMonkey is still working on generating the list. | ||||

I believe this is problem only on large databases. In order to prevent from introducing new threading issues I would rather move playlists to separate tab (as was also a wish of several users on the forum). |

This really should be moved to a thread, should be quite easy anyway. A new tab wouldn't fix it, since e.g. switching to another tab would be blocked anyway. |

Switching it to another tab would work in so far that the classification/custom tags would be available for tagging very fast which it seems is what most users go to the Classification tab for. Also if Playlists were in their own tab additional features could be added (as there is more space) like the ability to select Playlists to add the file to (this part could still be enabled on multiple file selections). |

Sure, UI changes can be discussed, but still, I think that Playlist loading in a thread must be there. |
