Summary0008885: Apply all can fail for artwork
DescriptionTo get Artwork tagged to all files on Album the option to Apply to all files in the Album/Series needs to be disabled/enabled
Steps To Reproduce1) Start with a 2 disc Album (still with different Album name)
2) Modify both Albums to the same Album name (removing disc# from Album name)
3) Find More from Same > Album
4) Select first track on first disc (all tracks on first disc have same embedded art
5) Go to Artwork Tab, click OK (Apply to all is enabled by default)
6) Notice disc 2's tracks haven't been tagged with art
7) Open Artwork Tab, disable/enabled Apply to all and click OK
8) Now all tracks will have art
TagsNo tags attached.

This sounds like test error.

In the step 4) you selected just the first track therefore the 'Apply to all selected tracks' applies the artwork only to the one selected track.

Yes, a single track from the Album has been selected and this is how I've always tagged Art to all files on the Album. It still works if you disable/enable the Apply to All option.

The option is Apply to all files in the Album/Series when a single file is selected and changes to Apply to all Selected Files when multiple files are selected.

Thus this is not a test error as tagging a single file with Artwork (in my case opening a single file with Artwork already attached) and enabling Apply to all files in the Album/Series (already enabled by default in my case) should add the Artwork to all files on the Album which doesn't happen unless I disable/enable the Apply All option.

I cannot reproduce, could you please upload a Jing video demonstrating the issue, it might give me a better clue how to repro the issue.

Sorry, I somehow misread the exact steps. The point here is to left the artwork tab untouched so that MM things that user hasn't changed anything and that nothing should be applied.

The bug here is, that '[x] Apply to all files in album/series' shouldn't be auto-selected until user makes some changes to artwork settings. This is consistent with the approach how the checkboxes work when user edits multiple files and changes a field.

Fixed in build 1464 / MAMBO 1517.

That would be a disappointing change as in MediaMonkey 3 this checkbox was enabled by default and did work as expected applying art to all files on Album by only opening the Artwork Tab and clicking OK. Unfortunately it does seem more consistent as any changes are saved no matter what tab is selected and this particular MM3 behavior only works with the Artwork tab selected.

Verified in 1464. Apply All is not auto-selected anymore.
