| Description | In build 1451, CPU utilization jumps to 100% upon switching to the Art Browser view without any indication of why. When I look at the Art Browser (or the debug log) I can see that it's because images are loading into the browser, however, they're loading VERY SLOWLY (1 / second). | ||||

Ran in Details view. 740 Switched to Art view 1140 Switched to Art and Details view 1348 Switched to Art Browser view --> CPU utilization jumped to 100%, but no indication in status bar of any activity that might be responsible (log shows images loading, but for some reason, there's no message in the status bar). | ||||

Tested 1452 and the issue remains. I wonder if it's the same problem as in 0008600 (in earlier builds the Art Browser would take e.g. 15-20 seconds to load up images, but now it's ridiculously slow to generate the thumbnails). |

Note also: 80% CPU utilization can be triggered even if the Art Browser isn't loading any images: 1 In details view, search for e.g. classical --> 5 tracks are displayed 2 Switch to Art browser --> CPU utilization goes up to 80% even though images for all 4 tracks are displayed!! |

I've optimized cover loading in Art Browser so test in next build, please. About 80% usage ... i need log when this occur (from log in 8600 i see there are many covers in Art Browser and most of then aren't cached so they're loaded from your network which is slow). |

New debug log uploaded showing how CPU-->100% (and stays there) even when only 4 albums are in the Art Browser. Comments embedded in the in the log. |

Fixed in 1453 (some performance improvement). |

I still get larger peeks of 100% CPU On one of my slower PCs AMD X2 4400+ using non debug version. At that time MM get slowed too much. This is something for optimization in post 4.0 version? Other than that Issue can be closed as Verified 1453. |

Peke, are you sure MM isn't still loading covers for Art Browser when high CPU utilization ? |

Very possible, maybe it would be wise to limit CPU usage for the process (eg. lead 10% or lower CPU priority while user interacts with MM), do you think it s new bug/feature? That is why I noted that it can be closed as Verified. |
