Summary0000836: Provide 'Edit' button in the Album Browser
DescriptionAs the album viewer evolves and it also becomes possible to lock properties to the currently playing track, it will become important to provide an integrated experience for allowing users to:
-see information about the track that's stored in the db
-see information about the track that's been downloaded

Lowlander's suggestion was to always use a common set of fields, but indicate in some manner whether the data is stored to the db or not. The only downside to this approach is that the information obtained from online sources might be inaccurate and we'd need a means of allowing the user to switch it without changing the content that's already in the db.

Adding this bug for discussion.

Upon further reflection, it is impossible to enable both Viewing of track properties and properties looked up via Amazon, and Editing of these properties ALL from within the Album browser in a usable manner.

Consequently, I've concluded that the only usable means of enabling editing from the Album Browser is to allow the user to access the Auto-Tag Lookup functionality ( bug 0000085) from within the browser.

i.e.

Add a button to the Album Browser:
-Properties
-->Edit
-->Auto-Tag Lookup

I think that this is out-dated, this functionality has evolved.
