I cannot reproduce, in my case the file is scanned into library without a problem.
Tested builds 1407 and 1408, Win XP.

1. Navigated the file folder via My Computer
2. Pressed INS to bring Add/Rescan
3. Rescanned
=> file appears in library

Could you retest and in case of failure generate a debug log?

I've posted a debug log.

Note that the problem is not exactly as originally described. There was a second flac file in the directory (directory was 'flacs_wont_scan', and it seems that it's the second flac file that doesn't get scanned.

Strangely, the files do get scanned when each is in a separate directory, but when the 2 are in the same directory, scanning fails on one of them!

Note also that occasionally, an AV occurs when switching to the directory containing the 2 flac files. The Elog is posted as well.

According the bug8157.LOG it looks that both the FLACs were added into library. The log.elf really indicates a problem while loading the album art image (probably another regression related to the new NativeJpeg library - bug 0008063 ), but I cannot reproduce. Could you send me the second flac that exhibits the problem so that I could repro?

Note: to check the status of whether the files were scanned into the library, I used the Locations node (Art & Details view).

Couldn't it be just a test error?

I tested with the exact files and results are:
- If I navigate 'Music' -> 'Location' -> ...
then only the '01 - Chances.flac' flac appears.
- But if I navigate 'Entire Library' -> 'Location' -> ...
then both the FLACs appear, because the 7-Concerto for Basoon and Orch.flac is classified as 'Classical Music' and therefore doesn't appear under 'Music'

Test error. Sorry :-(

I'll open a new bug for the AV.
