Summary0006025: File Monitor fails on UNC paths to same machine (Vista/Win7)
DescriptionFile monitor fails to detect additions/deletions for a path to a shared folder on a local machine. This used to work (I'm not sure when it stopped). Tested on Windows 7.

The really surprising thing is that it fails _even_with_a_startup_scan_ enabled!!
Steps To Reproduce1) Share \\PUZZLE30\Users\Rusty\Music with Everyone
2) Browse the network share to ensure that it works
3) Scan the folder with MediaMonkey --> tracks scan
4) Enable the file monitor with the Remove unavailable tracks option, + startup scan
5) Remove Tracks / Add tracks
--> MM doesn't detect the changes--even on restart (in fact it appears that the startup scan isn't even occuring! )

I'll try to make Few Screen Shoots Of Settings. Anyway I can't replicate. It Is working Without Problems On My PC.

Here is what I tested using 1271:

1. Created Folder c:\Test Share

2. Share It on Network and used Set access rights like in pictures "File Sharing.jpg", "Advanced Share.jpg"

3. Set MM File Monitoring According to "MM File Monitoring.jpg"

4. Set MediaMonkey Icon Properties like on Image.

5. start MM

6. Use Windows Explorer to move some folders to c:\Test Share\

7. Library gets Updated immediately to reflect changes

8. Repeat step 6. but only using Network -> Test Share instead of c:\Test share

9. MM library gets updated

Testing note: UNC path was incorrectly converted (from short file name to long file name) on Vista/Win7

Tested build 1274 and this issue does not appear to have been resolved. Tested as follows:

Manually Scanned tracks from \\PUZZLE30\Users\Rusty\Music (this is my local machine)
--> Tracks scanned correctly

Configured File Monitor to monitor \\PUZZLE30\Users\Rusty\Music
Edited 1 track, and deleted 1 track
--> MM did not detect the changes!

Closed MM and resarted MM
--> Startup scan also failed to detect the changes!
