Summary0005537: Fast clicking on playlists in MM tree can cause playlists to disappear (regression)
DescriptionDescription from Dylan:

Here is what happens:
I open MM --> I left click on a playlist --> It disappears.

Here is the tricky thing. Not every playlist that I click on, disappears. If
I click on one and it disappears, I may have to click on 3-7 other playlists
before one of them disappears. But the type of playlist doesn't seem to
matter. I have had all kinds of playlists disappear (nested, top list,
static, and autoplaylists). (Although, I tend to believe that the one that
disappears the easiest is a nested autoplaylist. )

I have also found that it occurs most easily right after I have opened MM.
After that, it may take 3-7 clicks on playlists to get them to disappear.
But I can eventually always get one to disappear simply by clicking on it.
And it is truly deleting the playlist, not just hiding it. The playlist is
still deleted when I open MM the next time.

I figured out that the playlists being deleted has something to do with the
width of the Music Explorer Tree. When it is wide, it doesn't happen. When
it is narrow enough to engage the horizontal scroll bar, it is more likely
to happen.

I made a screencast of it happening. In it you can see that when I start,
the Music Explorer Tree is wide and no playlists are deleted. When I narrow
it down, you see that playlists start to be deleted when selected by
left-click.
Here is the link to the screencast:
http://screencast.com/t/zJUJquEmePF

Watch closely, you will see Playlist "recently Added\08.12" deleted first.
And then "recently added\09.04" is deleted. And then a few others.

I am not clicking as fast as it appears in the screencast. It is just a slow
recording so things appear jumpy and fast. I am actually moving quite slow
and clicking on playlists at a reasonable speed.

When I installed the debug version and ran it, the problem changed
slightly. Rather than deleting the playlist, I got an error message that
said: "Can't Move This Playlist! Error!!!!"
I have never seen that exact message prior to running the debug. As you can
see in the screencast, it simply deleted my playlists in the non-debug
version.

The debug log is attached to this email.

Thanks!

Note that it is only reproducible with the release version. On the debug version the warning "Can't move this playlist! ERROR!!!!!!" appears. This regression was introduced recently and is related to changes that were made when fixing 0005477.
