| Description | I have a randomly re-occurring problem for a while, but I never could get a debug log because I couldn't reproduce it while I had debug viewer open. The problem is, that occasionally on startup, mm would get 'stuck' and refuse to process scripts or any database changes, and would no longer shut down normally (have to close via task manager). I think this started during 3.1 beta cycle, but not sure at which point and it might have even happened in 3.0, I really don't remember. Anyway, I managed to generate a log file and it is attached. I start MM, it loads scripts and begins to do startup auto-scan on library folder, I advance to next track and hit play which triggers last.fm nodes dj, however the script never adds a track and all I see in log is a bunch of threads being started. At this point I try to close MM but it shows delay terminate and eventually I just close the task via task manager. Usually after I close MM and restart it, it works fine, but sometimes it may do it 2-3 times in a row before working. Nothing else is changed in between termination and restarts. | ||||

I suspect that this is related to a script and that you'll have to test by selectively enabling 1 script at a time to see which one causes the bug. But perhaps not... ;-) |

If I could reliably reproduce it, I would try to narrow it down, but it only happens maybe once, maybe twice a week or so. By your reply, I'm not sure if you have an idea what the problem is or not. |

Well I removed all scripts except for my last.fm node script, and it still happened (while also scanning a new library database), so I suspect that either something in the script and/or the startup scan is causing it to get stuck. |

Let's make a special build with 0003015 (i.e. manual bug reporting) enabled and test on this, it could better reveal what's wrong. |

the symptoms sounds similar but maybe not quite the same. when it hangs on me, the UI is all working, but nothing else does, no scripts function, the track list does not update, can't switch tracks, etc. and this has been happening (to me) randomly for months, and I'm using xp (x32 on one system, x64 on other). |

After some investigation we've found (Teknojunky actually) the issue was in script. So no change in MM is needed. |
