I asked the user here http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/staff/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=viewticket&ticketid=2611&highlight=--+Mixed+--&ticketsearchid=1169 to test 3.1 builds to see whether it is fixed in the Primo 2.5 libs. |

Here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/staff/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=viewticket&ticketid=3427&offset=20 user indicated that Primo 2.5 libs in MM 3.1 did not solve his problems. He indicated: "It would not read my Charlatans UK cd, "Some Friendly". I got the typical "Not Responding" from MM. However Winamp had no issues. I next tried "Smile" by Brian Wilson. It didn't crash but it also didn't pick up any album information either. Winamp was able to read the album information. As a control I put in a CD that MM previously read. It had no problems, so I know that it can read some CDs, just not most of mine." The hpCDe.log is attached. It freezes on the DeviceProxy::ReadCDText(ICDText** ppCDText = 130872840) when reading CD-Text. So we cannot do anything about this. Only Primo could fix this somehow. Therefore we should contact them about this problem. Rusty, could you contact them, please. |

Here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/staff/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=viewticket&ticketid=3427&offset=30 Gail made this great discovery: "I removed MM from automatically starting when I put in a CD. I put in a CD. I have it get the Freedb information. It gets it. I rip it. I've done this on 5 different CDs. These are all new ones I am ripping, but they are old CDs. Maybe the autostart was somehow causing it to not work. Messing something up that prevented it from continuing with another action. Anyhow, I'll try this during the week and let you know if I start having issues again." Now, I can reproduce the problem it appears only when auto-start to Rip CD. |
