Summary0002869: The '+' sign always appears in the podcast directory hierarchy even when there's no subdirectory
DescriptionI want to point to this bug because there are some reasons for this. This depends on which OPML we use. If there is a podcast directory like http://opml.podcast.com/1817/ which is OPML 2.0 version (supporting 'include') so then it is a problem because the data are read per level and it is impossible to guess if there will be a child.

On the other hand if there is a directory like http://www.rogic.com/canadapodcasts/canada.opml
which is of OPML 1.0 version it is no problem, because full data are read, i.e. All levels of the podcast directory at once.

Additional InformationOrriginaly raised in bug 0001856

2) The '+' sign always appears in the podcast directory hierarchy even when there's no subdirectory

and somewhere on the MM3 beta testing forum too.

Because I have just improved OPML 1.0 parser (bug 0002862) and because podcast.com offers us OPML 1.0 too we can simply change the default directory 'PODCAST.COM' to OPML 1.0 and the problem will be resolved. Nevertheless if a user adds his own custom OPML 2.0 dir. the '+' appeared for all nodes until he expands the node.

We could also add some other OPML 1.0 directories as default (currently we have two - http://www.rogic.com/canadapodcasts/canada.opml and http://opml.podcast.com/1817/ ) , but for example http://podfeeder.com/allshows.opml is an massive podcast directory.

Supposedly Rusty should consider which of them we want as default in MM.

Assigning to Rusty to decide the default directories to be used in MM.

Feeds have been updated (in most cases) to opml 1.0.
