Summary0002649: Configuration for Format plug-ins
DescriptionCurrently we have several types of plug-ins listed in Options dialog, but these are only WinAmp plug-ins, we don't list our Format plug-ins anywhere. Since our plug-ins are quite similar to WinAmp input plug-ins, I'd suggest to:

1. Rename Player\Input Plug-ins to Player\Format Plug-ins.
2. Keep the loaded input plug-ins listed there, but also list our Format plug-ins (all alphabetically listed).
3. Remove About button, keep Configure button that would show some configuration for our plug-ins (in case there's such dialog implemeted for give plug-in, otherwise the button would remain gray).

Technical note: Format and Input plug-ins would only be mixed in the Options dialog, otherwise internally they remain a completely different solution.

Assigning to Rusty for a review and possible change of wording, please assign to Pavel then.

To avoid confusion, I would introduce a new name for our format plugins: 'Tagging Plugins'. That way the different between input plugins and format plugins is clear.

Thus changes would be:
1. Add new entry for 'Tagging Plug-ins' immediately sub to 'Library'
2. Remove About button, keep Configure button that would show some configuration for our plug-ins (in case there's such dialog implemeted for given plug-in, otherwise the button would remain gray).

Re-assigning to Jiri for comment since this is quite different from the original proposal.

I possibly wasn't clear why to mix these two groups. Our formats plug-ins currently don't only do tagging, their whole set of functionality include: Tagging, Decoding and Encoding (each plug-in can implement only some subset of these functions). Therefore from users' perspective there's a very little difference between input and format plug-ins and so adding a new sheet would only make things more complicated for an average user.

Ok, so then lets follow your original suggestion except for 1. (i.e. keep the plugins called input plugins) since otherwise people will be confused how to use Winamp input plugins.
