Summary0002416: Move to CD/DVD (instead of copy)
DescriptionAs reported in http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7822, it might be useful to let user move tracks to CD/DVD instead of simply burning them.

It would include:
 - Burning the tracks
 - After successful burn delete tracks from HD.
 - Add the CD/DVD tracks to library.

Reducing priority--i don't consider this to be important to the 3.0 release.

If you don't agree, an easy way to do this would be by adding a checkbox on the Edit data CD/DVD content (it could be at the bottom of the panel):

[ ] Delete original files

I disagree, I'd say it's relatively easy to implement and it offers user a nice tool to get tracks out of their HD in case it's getting full (i.e. moving data from HD to DVD).

Let's try to implement the suggested option in case it isn't hard to do so.

I am not sure whether the third point ( Add the CD/DVD tracks to library) is a good idea, if I was a user I wouldn't keep this removed tracks in my library, I consider it as a deadline when it is only on a DVD ( who wants it, he can simply add it anytime).

Maybe we could add a new option for this:
[ ] Add burnt files on CD/DVD to Library

If checked, burning would start a scanning thread in the end.

I don't like too many options, it makes me be confused.

Ok, to make it safer there is a confirmation before removing burned tracks, this appears once whole burning is finished successfuly. (revision 1318)

Another thing is that we have a popup menu after right click to selected songs, but once 'Send to' -> 'Folder (Copy)' -> some cdrom/rw folder is selected I except message like 'Problem with copying ....'.
It would be nice if it launch burning wizard.
Don't you think?

...and 'Folder (Move)' should launch wizard with [x] Delete original files checked.

And last question: Should it be implemented for audio burning too? Audio burning converts songs to audio format, their e.g. WMA format will be lost forever, but probably a user would like this options in case of audio burning too.

I agree with Ludek in this case, i.e. the only option that is really needed is:
[ ] Delete original files

I would also say that:
1) This setting should always be disabled when the wizard is run (i.e. if it's enabled, the setting shouldn't persist)
2) There's no need for a confirmation dialog
3) This functionality isn't really required for Audio CDs (since the user is unlikely to archive to that format)

With respect to the suggestions about 'Move' to CD, I'm opening that as a new issue--it _is_ a bug.
