Summary0002409: MediaMoney.m3u file can cause MediaMonkey to behave very strangely
DescriptionIn the course of investigating 2398, trying to determine situations that might cause MM to not correctly save settings, I was able to reproduce a situation described by a user in which:
-Settings appear to be saved
-MediaMonkey never really closes
-The only way to fully close MM is via task manager
-When machine restarts, any configuration changes that were saved don't persist (as would be expected by us since MM never closed down properly).

I'm not sure if this bug is the same as 0002398, but it could be related.

Reproduction steps:
I'm not sure how to reproduce this MediaMonkey.m3u file, however, I was listening to MM closed it, and then restarted, and it resulted in a MediaMonkey.m3u file that MM attempted to load up, but couldn't. Whenever I start MM with this file, all of the strange behaviour described above occurs.

I'm posting the file to the ftp server.
Additional InformationHere's a description of this same problem from a user:

Hello,

I posted a message last night outlining my problem. The link is here:
http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8559&sid=81465a5291d3dedea3a723c7cd679889

Here is a more detailed description of the problem I am having.

First of all, here are my specs:

P4, 2.40g processor, 632 megs of RAM, running Windows XP Service Pack 2. All MM files are located on my slave drive (E:) and not my master drive (C:). 2 CDR drives, both are 48x burn, 52x read.

MediaMonkey Gold 2.5.1.934 (Just bought the full version last weekend). Default Plugins enabled. A few scripts enabled as well (GoogleArtWork, ABLooper, CaseChecker), but the problem started before I had even downloaded them from the site.

Here's my problem.

I start up MMG, and all of my directories scan like normal. After I have used MMG and try to exit the program (either by clicking the 'X', or by going to File>Exit), MMG will just minimize to my system tray. If I try to right-click on it to exit, nothing happens. I can re-open it, but when I do, none of my songs, artists, ratings or any other information is available. I just get a blank screen, and my directories are default listed (!,@,?,1,2,3, A, B, C, D. etc.)

My Windows Task Manager will not show MMG running in the Applications tab, but it does show up in in the Processes tab, and I have to exit the program by ending the process. I have changed things under General Settings>Minimization Settings, and un-checked the "Close to Tray" box, but that doesn't fix the problem.

After I end the process, and re-launch MMG, things seem to be fine, and I have no problems. But in order to exit the program, I must manually "kill" it via Task Manager.

Included is the error log I generated with MM_Debug.

Hopefully someone has seen this problem before and knows what to do. Any help at all is greatly appreciated. If you need more info for me, or if I didn't explain my self clearly, please let me know and I will try again. =)

Cheers!
