Summary0002250: Synchronization: 'Summary' button shows incorrect value for # Tracks when auto-conversion is used
DescriptionI my synch list I have the following # tracks selected via each of the indicated nodes:

1 Artist: 15
1 Album: 11
1 AutoPlaylist: 454

Of the above tracks: 3/15 appear in the AutoPlaylist and 1/11 appear in the AutoPlaylist implying that the total number of expected tracks to be synchronized is: 15-3+11-1+454=476

Total number of tracks synched when this is transferred to the device: 476

HOWEVER: When I click the 'Summary' button, it tells me that the total number of tracks is 443!!

From this I can't say anything. I briefly retested and it seems to work fine. Isn't that autoplaylist random? Or can you find out anything more by (un)checking individual items?

OK, I did a bit more investigation and found that the summary information is always incorrect even if just a single auto-playlist is being synched. I haven't figured out exactly _what_ specific criteria cause the summary info to be incorrect, but I can _always_ reproduce the problem as follows:

a) Create autoplaylist consisting of Tracks where rating >= **** (4 stars)
b) Verify the number of tracks contained within the autoplaylist (X)
c) On the iPod Synch list, select only the autoplaylist created in a)
d) Verify that the hint that appears shows a total of X tracks
e) Click the summary button.
-->The number of tracks that it displays is less than X!!

This certainly works fine (just tested), if MM shows lower number of tracks there, there must be a reason. E.g. are the tracks all accessible? Is their format supported (in case they aren't autoconverted)? If you can't find out, send me your MM.mdb file and I'll do it.

I hadn't realized that the 'summary' number doesn't take into account tracks that are set to be auto-converted. I've updated the bug title to be more specific about the nature of the problem.

What should happen is that when the user presses 'Summary' it should show the number of tracks to be synchronized, taking into account auto-conversion settings. i.e. if the user has 'Gold' and auto-conversion is enabled, then the number of tracks that are calculated should include those that are to be auto-converted.

As to whether the same should be done for 'Space', it might be useful to add an '(estimated)' string in the future and show the estimated bandwidth based on current auto-conversion settings (rather than just the raw bandwidth).

Fixed in build 924.
 - Actually the estimation for auto-converted tracks was already implemented, there was just a small bug. Now the figures should be ok.
