| Summary | 0021824: Album Artist frame TPE2 is sometimes not read from MP3 | ||||
| Description | It does not seem to be regression, it was the same in all previous MM5 versions. User sent us files containing TPE2, but MM5 displays album artist empty. | ||||

The problem is caused malformed tags in MP3. There is some attempt to write "Original release year" user defined tag and then "Year" tag, both begin with correct TXXX frame name and size, but then it continues with some mess malformed by UTF16 encoding. Our parser then stops reading this tag, as it is "lost" in malformed data. I will try to find some workaround to skip only malformed tags, not everything, so following correct tags will be read (like TPE2 with album artist), but primary problem is caused by wrongly tagged file. |

Fixed in build 3402. The main problem was in wrong frame size in some frame headers. We should now better detect such situations and read everything if possible. |
