Summary0021707: Crossfade Playback is silent for the last track in the Playing Queue
DescriptionI'm still trying to debug what causes this, but I've replicated an issue (possibly reported by a user in the forum https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=528645#p528645 ) in which playback is silent with MMW 1264 (I've replicated this with 1265 on a Pixel 7).

UPDATE: You can see later comments in this thread, but the issue is that the last track in the Playing queue always plays silently on any device for all formats, and with both Native/Exo players.
Steps To Reproduce1 Navigate to Music > Location
2 Initiate playback of a track that is missing ratings (i.e. a track that was previously synced but has somehow become unmatched and is now missing metadata (Bear's Den - All that you are.ogg)
3 Playback starts silently but there's no audio!
Debug log: GEEL4QNUBA
TagsNo tags attached.

4 Played 2 tracks successfully in Music > Location > (Aerosmith - Dream On; Aerosmith - Same Old Song and Dance)
5 Attempted to play a third track (Aerosmith - Walk this way - FLAC) --> silent playback

6 Play Music > Artists > Tracks > Agnes Obel - Familiar.m4a (it has MM ratings i.e. no sync issues)
--> playback is silent
Debug log: XFGMMFNX7T

7 Play tracks by Music > Artists > The Beatles > The Blue Albums (which all contain metadata i.e. no sync issues)
--> Tracks 1-3 play successfully, but track 4 (Revolution +.mp3) plays silently
Debug log: FJLYQD2QPY

Also, all of the tracks that fail to play in MMA, play successfully with other players on the device (Google Files, YT Music, VLC).

One strange but likely irrelevant fact: all of the tracks that failed to play were the last track (alphabetically) in the directory.

Further testing confirms that 'silent playback' almost always seems to occur for the last track in the view!
e.g.
1 Initiate Playback of Music > Artists > R.E.M. > Tracks
--> The first 2 tracks play successfully, but the third plays silently
2 Initiate Playback of Music > Artists > R.E.M. > Album:Eponymous
--> First track plays but the second plays silently
3 Initiate Playback of Music > Artists > R.E.M. > Album:Out of Time
--> First (and only) track plays silently

In other words, the issue only occurs when the playing track is the last track in the queue.

Furthermore it's replicable on another device as well (S24+). And it occurs with both 'Native' and 'Exo' players.

Shared a log illustrating the issue. The problem isn't specific to any one track--it follows the pattern described above.

As I wrote in the REM example: the track failed to play when playback of a single track is initiated. But when that track is played as part of set of three tracks then it plays correctly.

To replicate the issue, the Audio transition must be set to Crossfade.
