| Description | The MM5 renderer remains visible even if unavailable. The close event is not detected. Compared to other renderers such as Windows Media Player, MMW, TV, the close is detected immediately. On the MMA side, this is handled via the cling library, over the RegistryListener.remoteDeviceRemoved listener. I haven't studied the details of what event it evokes, I just know that for other renderers (also media servers) it works reliably. I tried it with MMW and it works there too, so something must have changed for MM5. | ||||

From 0020011:0072473: observed in 1097: 1 Browsed Media Servers (UPnP) and saved ServerX 2 Played local content and tapped the Cast button and saved the ServerX renderer (and cast to it successfully) 3 Stopped casting 4 Turned off ServerX 5 In MMA, tapped the Cast button and 'Removed' ServerX --> The renderer re-appears (even though it's not accessible and has been removed)! |

Fixed on MMA side in build 2.0.0.1151 (in #20159) However, it must be fixed also on MM5 side. I haven't looked into why, but compared to other servers MM5 doesn't send a notification that the server has been terminated. |

I don'get it, what is ServerX? Is it media server or renderer in MM5? How you are turning off the ServerX? |

ServerX is <ServerX> i.e. whatever the name of the UPnP server is on MMW. I just closed MMW to turn off the server. |

Fixed in 3013 Both the MMW server and the MMW renderer now disappear on MMW closing.. |
