Summary | 0001957: MPC file metadata sometimes isn't read correctly
Description | I'm not sure what causes this problem, but some MPC file metadata doesn't seem to be read correctly. I'm posting the files to the ftp server. Note: the ftp server also contains a users database and a debug log file of a scanning operation. The user seemed to think that scanning sometimes worked correctly for these files, but failed on other occasions. I'm not sure if this is accurate, but I've included it nonetheless, along with the text from the user (below): If I remember correctly, I worked around the original problem by blowing away the database & doing a complete re-scan, which behaved exactly as I expected it to. (I posted a message to this effect in the forum.) Since then MM has been behaving itself, until last night when I added a whole load of new stuff to a directory that is monitored by MM. Things initially went OK, but then I noticed that everything was showing up in the "Unknown" album. Again, I blew away the database and did a re-scan, and that sorted everything out. This makes me suspect that the problem lies in the scanning code rather than with tag recognition. I have seen posts from other users in the forum which, while not describing exactly the same problem as I had, also suggest to me that there is a problem with scanning. I'll keep a close eye on MM, and if it misbehaves again I'll try to reproduce the problem & generate a debug log. User: tony[at]tonysawford.co.uk

Peke, is this fixed, or do you know anything about this? |
|
Rechecked and Fixed. May I suggest that Riser of Issue assign Issue to me as soon as he thinks that that is my issue, so we can avoid that I not see issue like this one, please. |

Fixed in build 895. |

Verified 895 (did not test extensively, but MPC track metadata for 20 tracks was read correctly). |
