Summary | 0001875: Cannot delete tracks from iPod
Description | I'm not sure why, but the iPod_control folder doesn't appear within MM, and because of that it's impossible to delete the contents of iPod_control/Music/ which contains a bunch of tracks synchronized by iTunes. How does one get rid of this music?

iPod_control folder is hidden by default on iPod and so MM (as well as Explorer) doesn't show such folders. However, I added reading even of hidden folders in auto-synchronization and so such tracks are deleted on auto-synchronization if user has that option turned on. |
Just a question then about first time users: some users use their iPods to store their music. For those users, how would they migrate to MediaMonkey? (since there's no way of seeing the tracks in MM, there's no way to copy them to the Library). |
They can see their tracks in iPod node (by Artist/Albums/Genres). I plan to add further improvements there, mainly to list all tracks in these node and later possibly even to add Playlists node. |
The mentioned fix is sufficient (aside from the fact that first-time synchronization is still unintuitive, howover, that can be discussed as a separate bug). |

Verified in 853b. Now all tracks appear in the root device node(s) so that it is easy to select all tracks and delete them. Moreover, playlists are also easily deleted during synchronization, if they aren't on the Synch list. |
