On 2650 both an incorrect (with \ at end) and a correct (without \) are added to Add/Rescan Files on right click Add/Rescan Files on Play with the incorrect version not selected to be scanned.

I can't replicate, for me only single entry is added without the slash at the end like this.
How exactly and where did you select the m3u ? Which node/view ? Can you attach screengrab?

And isn't the secondary "incorrect" entry with the slash at the end just survival from the previous scans? If you remove it then I guess it isn't re-added once you select M3U next time and press INS to Add/Rescan?

No, I checked on 2651 and nothing was selected to be scanned. Then did right click on a Playlist in the Media Tree in the Folders node, Add/Rescan Files and had the duplicate entries.

This only happens the first time starting Add/Rescan (from either Context Menu of Playlist in tree or having Playlist selected and starting it from the Main Menu). Doing the same steps twice has the correct entry in the Add/Rescan Files dialog.
