| Summary | 0017008: Local Folder: Preserve Partition Serial for Local folder Sync | ||||
| Description | Currently MM5 local folder Sync profile do not save Partition Serial number of Drive where Local Folder resides. There is few benefits of doing this: 1. User can be warned that profile for that Drive already exist and then user can be presented to use old profile or create new 2. Drive Letters of local folder can be changes which makes profile not working 3. Local folder can be inside Network Mapped Drive so it is not recognized as Removable and can be easily mapped to new drive letter or even paired with UNC path using approach from 0016870 where M:\ can be easily mapped to \\NAS\Music 4. It will allow that local folder sync behave like normal profile eg, connected/disconnected state. | ||||
