Summary0016978: Treat singles as Albums (no Album and Album Artist)
DescriptionMany users treat Singles as files without Album and Album Artist and don't want to add Arbitrary Album value to the files. This causes problems with Album Artwork handling as it's Album based. All files without Album and Album Artist are currently treated as 1 Album. This impacts MMA the most as it means on sync a single Artwork is synced for all these files.

If MediaMonkey were to treat files without Album and Album Artist as individual Albums this would be resolved. MediaMonkey could for example use Artist - Title to define unique Albums when Album and Album Artist is unknown.

a) I for example would like that MMA treats each File as Single because when playing in Car stereo I can clearly see what track is playing by Album art, rather than reading Track Title and Artist. Maybe to make it sort of Online service for player/playing modes and library management should work as is. SO many variations on user preferences.

b) On other side if each track is handled as separate Album it is very likely that it would create mess in Album Node if expanded as user could end up with 70k of Albums naked by Track titles. eg. it will even worse mess when there is one album but each track have different Album Artist and all show as single album (common complain)

c) For me the solution would be to expand Unknown Album with subnodes Artists regarding tree nodes and in MMA it shows "xyz unknown album track" so that user can't mix it with actual album named "Unknown"

d) Change wording from "Unknown Album" -> "Track missing Album info" (possibly too long)

Whatever we choose there will be always someone not satisfied.
