Summary0016615: Improved access to sort order configuration
DescriptionMany views contain sort orders that are based on fields that aren't displayed. We've made changes to improve the user's understanding of the sort order and to facilitate configuration of sort order via the Manage Views functionality, however, we could make an additional tweak that might further improve this.

If the user right-clicks on column headers, they can 'Choose columns' but that dialog is only a subset of the 'Manage views' functionality which accomplishes the same thing, but also allows sort order to be set.

Would it make sense to use the same dialog for both (the only difference being that 'Choose columns / sort' would open the view configuration dialog for the active view directly)?
Additional InformationShould be pushed to 5.0.1 if not trivial and/or there are other risks.

We could unify it, but testing it it seems that configuring columns via 'Manage Views' is broken.

1) Selected an auto-playlist in [List] vie and seeing that it has '#' column as the first and sorting is according to '#'
2) Clicked view button > Manage Views > [List]
=> '#' column is missing entirelly !! (related to 0016590 ?)
=> Sorting is empty (should be #)
3) Created sort 'Title A..Z' and clicked [OK]
=> sort is not applied and the '#' disappeared!

EDIT: Testing the same in Music > All tracks [List] and it works fine, so it is specific to (auto)-playlists with '#' column
EDIT [Rusty]: tracking this particular issue at 0016620

Tested 'Choose columns / sort' in 2249 and it generally seems to work except in nodes/views for which sorting doesn't make sense. e.g.
Now Playing

Note: I haven't tested all nodes exhaustively--there may be others for which Sorts don't make sense.
