Summary0001645: Regression: Location of Now Playing files changes by itself sometimes
DescriptionIn some cases, when playing several Tracks, the location of a single track as it appears in the Now Playing list somehow changes, and as a result, the track gets greyed out and can't be played in the NP dialog. The track record, however _is_ correct (it's only the location in the NP dialog that's incorrect).

Example:
Now Playing Dialog:
Song1 C:\xxx
Song2 C:\xxx
Song3 C:\xxx
Song4 C:\xxx

Play these tracks, and do other various (i.e. unknown) activities while they're playing. At some point the list will change as follows:

Now Playing Dialog:
Song1 C:\xxx
Song2 C:\xxx
Song3 D:\xxx (track is greyed out)
Song4 C:\xxx

Then search for Song3, and when it appears in the Tracklist, it appear in it's correct location of D:\xxx

Note: I first noticed this issue in build 811, but again noticed it in 814. I do not have specific repro steps, but have noted it anyhow because it's fairly severe and because you may have an idea of what is causing it.

I don't see any way how could this happen. The following things could help:
 - Definitely a debug log, but it probably won't be possible for you.
 - At least a description of actions done, for example if the track was renamed/moved before the problem, or if any other nonstandard actions were done.
 - From the description I'm not sure - was only the disk changed from C: to D: and the rest of path remained the same?

I don't know what specific action triggered the change. In both cases, though, the change was simply that the drive letter changed from D to C (the rest of the path didn't change).

I'll try to repro...

A similar (but possibly independent?) bug occurred this evening on 815. Played 3/11 tracks (i.e. begining with track 8) and at some point, the first 3 tracks became greyed out, despite the fact that the path _was_ valid. In fact, when I double-clicked the files in the NP list, they changed back to black.

Note: the files were OGG files

Possibly fixed in build 816.
 - As discussed over IM, tracks could get grey (mainly during startup) while they should be shown as accessible.
 - Problem of C: <-> D: switching needs more information.

Fixed in build 818.
 - I think I really fixed this now. On one occassion a path of a track changed from correct 'D:\...' to 'DD:\...'. It was caused by some collisions of threads which is fixed now.

Closing--I haven't observed this problem in 818.
