||While the changes make sense, I also wonder whether the whole concept of the Web node isn't rather outdated? Should we make it hidden by default after a clean MM5 install and decide later whether to not remove it altogether?|
I'm not sure. ATM, we use the webnode on startup, and I know some users use it e.g. to look up metatada in a different tab. Perhaps modify the default nodes, but disable it from appearing for new installs.
Note: if we do so, could we continue to display a web page in MM (e.g. at startup, for upgrades) in the future?

As for the startup, for MM5 the Home page servers better than a generic webpage of MM4, doesn't it?
Note: the default welcome web page will be updated when MM5 is released.
