I agree that this would be useful, but I don't know if the proposed solution is the best. I would rather do something users already requested - possibly in Album node don't show a list of all tracks but rather a list of all albums with a thumbnail of the album art. There would become immedially evident where album art is missing, where front cover isn't properly set up, etc. This doesn't seem to be realistic for 2.3, but rather for 2.4.

I agree re. the Album Art view, however, that's a feature that would require some time to build. Isn't it very simple to just add an Unknown Album Art, so that this attribute can be managed like all others?

It isn't really hard, but given its limited use I'm not sure if it's worth the effort. At least we would need a new icon. Another thing is to decide what to show, probably tracks that don't have any album art assigned and have non-empty album name?

I would say that it should just show tracks without Album Art Cno need to check for an Album name).

As far as an icon, I think I could put one together relatively quickly, based on the graphic that we should soon be receiving for 'No Album Art'.

Leaving as 'immediate'--hopefully we'll have time for this--I think it is more useful than you might think.

Actually the questions related to the check for album name are reasons I don't want to include this. For example I have an oldies folder with 100s of tracks where I will hardly ever have an album art assigned (and there's no big reason to do so), but I'd like to have album art for full albums I have. That's why I proposed to include the condition.

My point is that one node doesn't help in this case, it would have to be more complex/configurable solution. Maybe a new condition in auto-playlists would help more, but I don't think it's urgent.

I think that one node is sufficient in this case--it would simply show tracks that are missing Album Art. This wouldn't meet the needs of all cases, but would be satisfactory for most.

The only downside is that there wouldn't be an easy way of importing Art from other tracks from the same albums that have the art, but that's a feature for another time...

Ok, so please send me the icon and I'll do it all at once.
