| Description | For some genres, the Genre is represented by only a single image despite the fact that it contains numerous tracks from numerous other albums (that have album art). I think that this may be due to the fact that some of the tracks contained within are from albums that are unknown (i.e. the field is empty). I haven't verified whether this occurs for other tiled images (e.g. Playlists). | ||||

I looked again with build 2174 and see that Genre 'Afrobeats' and 'Alternative Pop' contains multiple albums, yet only displays a single album to represent the respective genres. Could it be related to: - the fact that the image wasn't regenerated when 'Afrobeats' was added to the tracks by Drake? - the fact that 'Afrobeats' isn't wasn't the first genre listed in the tracks by Drake (note: I tried changing the order of the genres but it didn't have an effect) ? EDIT: petr explained that the cases above are due to the fact that < 4 albums are contained within the Genre (tiling isn't currently used unless at least 4 albums are in the tile). With this in mind, a new example of of the bug would be the Genre 'Dance' |

Peke's example isn't a functional bug in the sense that the current design is to use tiles only when >=4 images exist (his example shows 3 images). That said, I think that it would make sense to tile images even in the case of 3 images (though I'd defer this if it involves much effort/risk). I did however, find another case of album art not showing at all for 'Dance/electronic'--I'm not sure if it's the same bug or not. genre-image_missing.jpg (26,789 bytes) |
