Summary0015563: Prevent duplicates when renaming Genres
DescriptionIf the user has 1000 tracks with Genre: Country with 100 of them also Genre:American Country, and the user renames Genre:American Country to Country, then MM shouldn't create duplicates of the country tag.

i.e. Today such an operation will result in Genre tag of: Country; Country; otherGenre;

This is particularly important if a user is trying to clean their Genre list which may contain multiple similar Genres that can result in duplicates being created during the cleanup (I now have 100s of tracks in my collection with duplicate genres because I didn't realize that this was occurring).
TagsNo tags attached.

How you rename the genres? I cannot replicate when I am renaming genre in genres grid.

This is what I meant: https://www.screencast.com/t/bzFf9Vgi

Note: I suspect that most users won't be hit with this problem quite as badly as me since 0015400 will limit the number of auto-suggested genres in Auto-tag (that's why my collection has a bunch of undesired genres to begin with).

On the video I see that you cleared two genres names => set to 'Unknown'
and renamed one genre to 'Electronic classic' which caused the re-ordering after renaming and thus 'Dance House' became successor of 'Dance & Pop'
But what is the bug here ???

The video was just meant to show what I meant by renaming genres. Here's another video that demonstrates the full bug:

Basically, the user would expect that if they rename a GenreA to an existing GenreB, and some tracks had GenreA; GenreB, that those tracks would not end up with duplicates of GenreB.

btw, I suspect that issue 2 at 0015400:0053070 is another consequence of this issue.
