Summary0015400: Auto-tag: ability to automatically restrict / more easily edit suggested genres
DescriptionThe genres suggested by MusicBrainz are quite useful, but also often contain a bit too much e.g.
For a track by the Beach Boys: Rock; Am pop; Baroque pop; Oldies; Pop; Surf; Contemporary pop/rock; Rock roll; Rock_pop; Sunshine pop; Pop/rock
For an Aretha Franklin track: Deep soul; Soul; Pop; Gospel; Funk / soul; Club; Soundtrack; Album rock; Rhythm & blues; Am pop; Psychedelic/garage; Early pop/rock; Female vocal; Folk; Folk-pop; Folk-rock; Disco; Contemporary r b; Contemporary pop/rock; Pop-soul; Pop/rock; Early r&b; R b; R&b; Blues; Rhythm blues; Rock & roll; Singer/songwriter; Soft rock; Black gospel; Baroque pop; Soundtracks; Stage & screen

Given that there's no real meaning to the order of the suggested Genres, we can't restrict the number of suggestions arbitrarily. I would suggest:
1) Providing an improved means of including/removing suggested Genres. e.g. if the user clicks the Genres field
--> a dialog/combo box opens in place allowing the user to check/uncheck all the proposed genres and/or add new ones
2) In the dialog/combo box, only pre-check Genres that already exist in the user's collection (note: the list of Genres that appears in the auto-tag dialog would only list those Genres that are selected).
3) In the Auto-tag dialog, highlight the Genre field in some manner (e.g. with an 'edit' icon (preferred) or exclamation point ) if the recommendation also contains suggestions that aren't selected because they don't exist in the user's collection.

Note: if this is too complex/risky to implement for 5.0, then the simplest short-term fix would be to limit proposed Genres to those already in the users collection.

Item 1&2 implemented. For item 3 i'm not sure if it will not be confusing as exclamation point means something else for other fields (it is different than original value) ?

Re. item 3) another possibility would be to display the unchecked items in grey (disabled) following all the checked items. What do you think?

Tested 2167. Works quite well! Remaining issues:
1) No means of adding new Genres / editing existing ones
2) In some cases (probably related to 0015563), suggested Genres appear in duplicate (see the attached image below)

Item 1: i'm not sure how to do that in in-place editing (as checkbox list must be read-only) ... user can edit/add new genres in track properties
Item 2 fixed

1 can't it be read-write until the checklist is opened via the dropdown? And then revert back to read-write once the user collapses the checklist?
