Tested 2149, and all three cases still fail even worse than previously, because now, bad artwork is recommended (rather than no artwork): 1) Hall and Oates - Maneater (from album:H20): Recommends picture of a building (and manual lookup shows more building/interior decoration pictures) 2) Ladies Night by Kool & the Gang - Recommends 'Kool aid' picture (and manual lookup shows more koolaid pictures) 3) The Little Old Lady from Pasadena - Jan & Dean - Recommends picture of a person (and manual lookup shows pictures of other people) |

These 3 albums have no artwork in MB so our default AA search engine is used (with default settings). Probably better would be to not search artwork automatically ? |

Here are some more examples: 4) Sonny & Cher - I got you babe: Recommends pictures of Sonny instead of the Album Art for 'Look at Us' 5) Sam & Dave - Soul Man: Recommends pictures of people instead of the Album Art for 'Soul Men'. It's very strange, considering that looking this up directly in Google shows the correct AA. 6) Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye - Steam. Recommends image of Steam (videogame distributor) instead of the album 'Steam'. Manual lookup also fails (even though lookup via Google works). Just note, we use Google search and Google returns nearly always some results, we are not able to detect, which are really relevant. I.e. we cannot decide, when to use rather no artwork. |

For Artist: The 411, Title: Dumb, Album: Between the sheets, although auto-tag now (in 2152) suggests the correct Album Art, Image search doesn't (even though doing the image search manually on Google does return the artwork)! |

Not sure if this is error, the first artwork is taken directly from MusicBrainz DB. Manual search searches the image using Google, so it can contain different results. |

Resolving. The different result of manual Google search in MM and Google search in browser is caused by "safe search" we have set to avoid explicit content in MM. For some absurd reason Google marked correct artwork of this album as explicit and that is why it is filtered from safe search result out. |

OK. Seems reasonable, though if this causes problems in the future, we may want to include a 'Safe search' checkbox for image search. |

Tested 2155 and noticed that in the Auto-tag dialog manual image search defaults to searching for Artist and Album rather than Album Artist and Album. It results in several problemic recommendations. e.g. Title: The Jumpin' Jive Artist: Glenn Miller and His Orchestra; Marion Hutton Album: Live at the Meadowbrook For this set of metadata, the only way to get the correct artwork was to delete '; Marion Hutton' Similarly, I presume that compilation albums (with Album Artist=Various) would result in problematic suggestions. I can understand this for cases where there is no Album Artist, but if an Album Artist exists, is there a reason why we're taking this approach? |
