| Description | There are presently 2 cases in which the user needs improved access to devices via the tree: a) portable devices b) cds A simple means of providing this improved access is by: 1) Adding a shorcut to My Computer to the Navigation toolbar 2) Adding entries in the tree as follows: i) When a portable audio device has been defined and has been plugged into the computer. In this case the device icon should appear followed by the drive letter and device label. ii) When a CD Drive contains a CD with CD Audio or other audio file types. In this case the device icon should appear followed by the drive letter and CDs name. These icons should appear immediately above the My Computer node. | ||||

1) Since this isn't needed too often, I would rather keep the number of icons there smaller. 2)i) was already fixed. 2)ii) I don't think it's much needed, user can used 'Rip' button anyway. |

Verified in 809 that Device is correctly added to the tree. Although I agree re. keeping the shortcuts list small, I think that inserting a CD should result in a CD node appearing in the tree for the duration that the CD is inserted. We can track this elsewhere though. |
