Summary | 0001276: Old/invalid .m3u files accumulate on portable device
Description | When the user synchronizes files, and selects the 'Delete tracks on device not in Synchronization list' option, audio files are deleted from the device, however, old .m3u files (that most likely link to audio files that have been deleted) remain on the device. My first inclination is that such files should automatically be deleted as well, since I can't think of a scenario in which those files should remain. Do you agree? Note: we may want to change 'Tracks' to 'Tracks and Playlists'

This is incredibly annoying and needs to be fixed for iPod to be usable! |

Where exactly have you seen this? It shouldn't happen on iPod since it doesn't use m3u (even though MM can upload them for use on other machines) and I think that on other devices it works fine too. (Note that there were several other bugs related to playlists on iPod). |

Verified that this is not an issue in build 856 (although there is a Playlist-related problem on the iPod documented elsewhere). |
