Summary0010903: MMW fails to display music on MMA devices
DescriptionThere has been a report, and Martin has replicated a similar scenario, in which MMW fails to display much of the content that exists on an Android device. In one case, the content was synced via MMW, and in another it wasn't.

I'm able to replicate the problem as well, and it seems that the reason it occurs is because in MMW, only the External Card was enabled as a device, so it didn't show the tracks that were on the Internal memory of the device (unless the user manually enables it).

I don't consider that to be a bug per se, though it does raise the questions of:
a) there should be a means of letting users easily view other cards on a device. e.g. perhaps they should be able to expand the device to see both the internal and external memories
b) why are tracks sometimes being synced to different locations? possibly related to 0010621

Although I've been struggling with enabling/disabling profiles for same device (0010901), I'm not certain it is the cause for this specific issue (in my case) as both profiles (internal and external) were enabled. The lack of visibility of files on the external card extends to both MMA and MMW for me (http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=71668).
Let me know if any specific debug logging/testing can be of help.

Lowlander, couldn't it be issue 0010664 ? Did you upgrade your Android OS?

Anyway I would need to see these files:
/MediaMonkey/files/mmstore.db
and
/MediaMonkey/files/StorageInfo.xml
from both locations (internal/external)

Added files to Samsung Note (MW).zip on FTP.

I upgraded from Android 4.0 to 4.1.2 several months ago and have synced many times since. I'm not certain if 0010664 is at play as it sounds like a problem after upgrade (no new syncs). Hopefully the requested files will give a better insight into this.

Martin, the MMA's DB (mmstore.db) contains only tracks from the phone (/storage/sdcard0)
e.g. /storage/sdcard0/Music/Car/Huey Lewis & The News - Hip To Be Square.mp3

There are no tracks from external memory (/storage/extSdCard).

So the issue is that even if you sync the tracks to external memory, both MMA & MMW doesn't see them? The question is why they are not added to MMA's DB.

Marek indicated that there was a regression in MMA build 130 related to the newly added "Choose library folders" configuration, could you please re-test with MMA 133 to see whether the issue still appears?

Sorry, my mistake, I had nothing synced to the external card. Now I synced again to both internal and external and files are shown as expected in Library, Playlist and Folder browsing on MMA.

MMW also is showing the files on the card as it should. Added requested files to FTP anyway [Samsung Note (MW) 2.zip]

OK, so I guess that this can be resolved.

I'm not able to reproduce what other users have reported, but don't know if the issue has been resolved for them.
