This should be handled only by the system, shouldn't it? From my understanding of a related forum post, a user was requesting to let choose lock screen orientation only.

Many Video players have ability to lock Android Rotation to prevent accidental screen rotation.

As for second while I was defining this bug I remembered that MX Player for example (and few others) have ability to lock screen and ignore touch commands, hide BACK, HOME, MENU buttons 0010194. This is especially usefull when playing Videos to children that are holding device in hands.

EDIT: Also noted that MX player locks to Landscape for every 16:9(10) videos

Ok, it seems to make sense to lock the screen. Any idea for the best way of locking and the unlocking?

I think that these would do:
- Landscape = MMA UI is forced in landscape and locked
- Landscape (Video Playback) = Landscape on Video Playback Maybe better called "Landscape (Auto-Rotation)"
- Auto-Rotate = Override System Settings
- Lock Startup Orientation
- System Default

To clarify: I still don't think that it makes sense to tweak display orientation - it's handled by system. However, I agree that it might be useful to lock the video playback screen to prevent accidental pressing of a button, maybe even prevent display rotation in this particular case, etc.

The question is, what's the best way to turn on/off this kind of lock.
