Summary0000483: Give users option to remove registry/config settings on uninstall
DescriptionIf the user ininstalls sdb, then their serial number information is deleted and they are forced to find it and re-enter it again upon re-installation.

Moreover, all user settings seem to be lost, without even asking the user--fairly annoying for people helping out with beta testing.

This would also resolve the issue raised in 0001301. i.e. if users uninstall OEM version of MM, then settings can still be preserved.

I think it had always happened. I can leave it in the registry, but I supposed that it is better to clear everything during uninstall. E.g. Tucows.com has a points system for all posted applications and when not everything is cleared application loses points. What do you think?

I don't think that:
-Clearing the DB
-Unistalling SDB (unprompted)
should result in the current behaviour. i.e. I'm not suggesting leaving anything behind, but that the user should have to choose whether uninstallation should remove the db/config settings.

That said, I don't think that this is urgent, since we don't have that many paid customers yet. Changing to 'high'.

Note: a portion of this functionality has been implemented in bug #627.

During the uninstall process, the user should be asked:

Choose whether you want to remove the following from your system:
[x] Registry Entries (Serial Number, Configuration)
[x] Library database

Note: if bug 0000154 is fixed then all that is needed is:
Do you want to remove your MediaMonkey Gold Serial Number from the system?
[Yes] [No]

I'm not aware of any way how to make custom modifications to the uninstaller (possibly in the next InnoSetup version), so we should keep it without any questions. I think we can simply leave the license in registry.
