| Description | 1. As reported here http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26468, and based on my testing the verification process can take 30 minutes for 4GB data when DVD is burnt. It is caused by the fact that the buffer lenght is only 1MB, i.e. DVD has to be accessed too often. Increasing to 10 MB seems to solve this, because most of common mp3/wma tracks are smaller than 10 MB and can be read into buffer at once. 2. Verification thread cannot be terminated, this should be possible | ||||

Verified 1141 Note Nero, CloneCD, WinOnCD Uses Buffers up to 76Mb and 32MB as default value. Taking in Consideration of lossless APE, FLAC and WAVEs. Edit: Consider it closed if we will not rise buffer to 32 or higher. Another Note: For CD Verification in Most cases CD needs to be Ejected and loaded again for accurate TOC read (Audio CDs Especially where we do not have Verification at all) prior to Verification, DVDs on other Hand do not need that. |

ok, re-increased buffer from 10 MB to 20 MB as suggested by Peke, as I wrote - most of common mp3/wma tracks are smaller than 20 MB and can be read into buffer at once. Therefore I think that 20 MB is enough. Increased in build 1148. |

It is still problem for files larger than 20MB, see: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=39277&p=203048#p203048 So I changed it and now any file is always read at once (see 0005581) I was surprised how ineffective it was. I have done a test with 3 files, each one had 100 MB size and it took 4 minutes to verify! Now it takes 8 seconds!!! Whole DVD (4.7 GB) takes 5 minutes. Fixed in build 1244. |
