Summary0003593: Two issues upon cold-starting MediaMonkey
DescriptionWhen I start MediaMonkey from scratch, I experience some glitches which shouldn't be there:

1) My library (which is on a external hard-drive) makes MediaMonkey wait upon loading the rest of the program; therefore filter settings gets changed AFTER the library has loaded for example. The program shouldn't wait for the files to load, but rather check if the roots/files are missing after the program has graphically loaded. Now this check freezes the program, something which isn't necessary.
2) Also related to issue 1; the graphical loading should be complete before changing from the splash-screen to the main-window. This would perhaps take 0,5 seconds more, but those partially seconds are now used by the user to see this extremely uncomplete loaded window (also attached);

Assigning to Petr to review particularly item 2).

3) If you have any music/video-playing in another program than MediaMonkey, a startup of MediaMonkey makes that sound stutter quite immensely.

Reassigning to Russell to review these problems' importancy for the 3.0 release.

Works for me in 1079. Morten, if you still observe the problem, please re-open.

1) This is still dominant. The program waits for the external drive to get recognized. This check should be in the program and not slow down the loading of the library.

3) This is the most important issue. Sounds stutters ALOT when I play for example a video on YouTube and then start MediaMonkey. This should be fixed prior to any 3.0-release.

2) Is little dominant now, but especially the tree and main tracklist (not NP-window) waits to load after the program has shifted from the splash-screen to the main-view. This may however be resolved when MediaMonkey gets optimized.
