Summary0002720: Album art for tracks without Album title doesn't appear on WMDM devices
DescriptionThis was discussed with a user, and here's what we have written:

---
Jiri:
The idea was that if track doesn't have album title assigned, it probably won't have even album art. Also, technically, it's a question how would the .alb file be saved, to what folder and what filename. Normally something like <Artist>\<Album>\<Track> output mask is used, but when Album field is unknown, it would result in filename conflicts for the respective .alb files. I'll yet have to check out how WMP11 resolves this (or have you check it out?)...

User (Ted Youmans [ted_yo at earthlink dot net]):
WMP11 uses a seperate folder now rather then placing the objects in the same folder as the music, but to answer your question it just names the file "Unknown Title.alb" which doesn't seem like it would take collision into account. In truth, the name given to these objects does not matter, only the refrences that get set do. You could use a GUID to ensure there is no collision or perhaps the object ID / PUID of the file you are creating the object for to allow for a quick back refrence without having to get all the refrences on the object.

None of this really matters all that much, it was just a side thing I noticed while looking at your fix. Maybe it's something to think about for MM 3.0, but it's minor.
---

I think we could consider implementing it for MM 3.0, on the other hand since there is a new portable devices synchronization interface introduced, we could possibly forget about this issue...
