Summary0000267: My Computer Node: Create New Directory function
DescriptionOne of the main reasons for going to the 'My Computer' node is to perform operations on folders that don't include songs as part of the library. One common task is folder creation (e.g. create c:/music), however, there's no way to do this currently. The user must exit Songs-DB, create the folder, return, refresh the view, and then move files into the folder. This kinds of defeats the purpose.

This can easily be resolved by providing a context-sentive function in this view for 'New Folder'.

Fixed in build 811.
 - User can now create both folders and m3u playlists in My Computer node in the tree context menu.
 - You will probably want to slighly modify the associated text messages and also both icons (+plus possibly add icons for two device related tasks - Rebuild DB and Safely remove device).

Verified that both new functions work correctly in build 811. However, I think that the New M3U Playlist function should be removed since there's no real use in creating an _empty_ playlist.

i.e. what users would want in terms of .m3u playlists is the ability to easily create one in a specified location, however, the means to accomplish that is through a context menu that allows the user to export a set of tracks to an .m3u playlist.

A better means of accomplishing this would be to add '.m3u Playlist' to the Send-to options menu, between 'CD (Burn)' and 'Virtual CD'.

I disagree here, although I agree that the function is kind of redundant, i.e. user can achieve the goal using the described way, I think that the way using 'New M3U' command is much more intuitive. In my opinion it better follows ideas of user, i.e. create a playlist and then d&d tracks into it.

I suppose some users might work in this manner. So if we leave it, then the current icon is fine. I would only suggest that the text be changed to 'New .m3u Playlist'.
