Fixed in Version | 2.5.3 | ||||
Summary | 0002462: Seemless synching with the Swimp3 V2 device
Description | This is just a reminder that the 2.5.3 release should by default: -recognize current swimp3 devices and work with them out of the box (previously this was handled via a custom usb ms plugin) -recognize new swimp3 devices and work with them out of the box -- we don't yet have this device Profile for the Finis Device v2 (probably applies to v1 of the device) Identifier: AFMP3 Player (VID_1011&PID_0001) Synchronize Tracks to: <Artist> - <Title> (since there's no directory navigation) Copy M3U playlists: disabled (since there's no directory navigation) Delete tracks that aren't on the autosynch list: enabled (since it's a flash device and it's unlikely to contain much music in advance) Synchronize random subset up to device capacity: enabled (so that the default config (entire library) works by default

Fixed in build 963. - Plugin d_WMDM.dll should be now able to handle both versions of the device. |
Verified with SwiMP3 V2. Closing. |
I was a bit too fast on the trigger. It works well, but it would be even better if [x] Confirm Deletion was enabled by default (just in case). |
As discussed over IM, this might be better to keep as is. |
Two issues: 1) Over the course of testing and discussion of the usecases with Finis it became clear that the 'Confirm deletion' should be enabled by default (for both this profile and the iPod Shuffle profile). The reason for this is that user have 2 modes of operation: a) drag tracks one by one b) press the sync button If the drag tracks and then press the synch button, then, with the current config, their dragged tracks will be wiped. 2) The old device should appear as 'Finis SwiMP3'. The new device should appear as 'SwiMP3 Surf'. This information just came today :( |

Fixed in build 1000. |
Tested build 964, and the SwiMP3 surf is recognized correctly, however, the default profile does NOT have 'Confirm deletion' enabled! |
Fixed a small error in the code. |
Verified build 965 (only with the SwiMP3 Surf). |
