Summary0022508: Sidebar width inconsistent between tabs / doesn't persist
DescriptionThe right Sidebar (with Playing/Preview) has a consistent width across different tabs. The Left sidebar (Media Tree/Lyrics) has inconsistent behavior.

When making the Sidebar wider, opening in new tab and switching back to the old tab the Sidebar has reset to it's smallest width.

Unsure if Sidebars should have tab independent or tab dependent settings.
Steps To Reproduce1 Make the left sidebar wider
2 Open new tab
--> Sidebar shown with new width
3 Switch to previous tab
--> Sidebar reset with smallest width

It also happens on MediaMonkey restart: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=109926

fyi in v2024
- The size of the right column is constant across tabs
- The size of the left column is saved per tab (doesn't seem to be related to Views)

but in v2027, the behavior of the left column is somewhere in between as described (i.e. a regression).

Re. LL's question re. what makes most sense in the long term I suppose it should depend on the Collection e.g.
- Playing: don't need the right or left column (usually)
- Videos: don't need the right column (usually)
- Music: needs both
But, I would suggest not making any serious changes such as this as it could be confusing, and in the short term just take an approach that's easy/consistent. e.g.
- like v2024 (though that's inconsistent for right vs left panel)
- one global approach (for collapse/expand status and width) like the right column in v2024, but for both columns
- per tab settings (for collapse/expand status and width) like the left column in v2024, but for both columns

Assigning to Michal for feedback as this is somewhat related from a UI perspective to the ongoing work on views.

I checked it and it was already fixed in build 3530, while fixing 0022566.
The approach was not changed, left sidebar is still part of individual tabs, right sidebar is the same for all tabs
