In my case for this file both variants (synced and normal) fails to lookup..

And I checked the code that once '[x] Prefer Synced Lyrics' are checked then synced variant is being looked up at first and then immediatelly the standard variant..
For both 'Playing' and 'Preview' ...

There was just a small issue that the 'Lookup (synced)' link showed up again even after 'Lyrics not found' was already shown previously

=> this is fixed in 3514 --> so please re-test with the new build 3514

The issue is that static lyrics do exist and were found after manual lookup, but fail to be found when no Synced Lyrics are found.

What you fixed was reported as 0022197.

Hmm, I still can't replicate in various places, always synced variant is looked up at first and if not found then standard lyrics are searched.

Please share exact sample track, screencast video and debug log..

Thanks!
