| Description | Currently user can export all playlists like M3U format which is still just list of tracks.. i.e. importing such a playlist(s) looses original auto-playlist criteria Exporting auto-playlists with its set of criteria would be beneficial.. Implemented in 2026.0.0.3402 Added to File > Export > Export all playlists.. where each '*.m3u' file is now exported together with associated '*.mmap' file including the auto-playlist criteria (JSON format) Later during scan/import of M3U playlists when the accompanying *.mmap file exists (with the same filename) then it is imported as auto-playlist (instead of standard playlist) |

It would be nice if users can export AutoPlaylists via the existing Context Menu export mechanism as well. |

Right click -> Send to -> M3U/XSPF operates above tracklist (not auto-playlist) so I wouldn't mix this functionality... Leaving it for File > Export > Export all playlists.. as originaly implemented. |

It should only do mmap when an AutoPlaylist is exported via the Context Menu, it doesn't need to do so when a list of files or any other tree node is exported this way. The current method would require a user to export potentially thousands of Playlists to get 1 specific AutoPlaylist with mmap. |

I agree with LL and the user. i.e. when users right-click on a playlist or all playlists 1) Users expect that 'Send to M3U/XSPF playlist...' or 'Export all playlists...' would both would behave similarly and would export playlist criteria. Suggestion: a) change the text to 'Send to M3U/XSPF playlist...' --> Send to Playlist (export) b) change the behavior so that when this option is chosen for an Auto-playlist, that the criteria are exported along with the m3u 2) Users would expect that if playlist criteria are exported, that it should be possible to read the file without depending on a corresponding m3u file (i.e. most would think m3u for static playlist / mmap for auto-playlist, and that the absence of an m3u file should not prevent an mmap file from being read). |
