Summary0020440: Grid view should have sort just like List view
DescriptionIf I have a folder with many files by different artists (i.e. singles that don't belong to albums), I would like to be able to sort them by different criteria, just as with the files in List view. At least by Artist and Title, but maybe even by Genre, Date, Original Date and Added.

Sorting by attributes that aren't visible caused confusion in the past--that's why in the Album grid view it's only sortable by Album Attributes.

Well, almost three years passed since I opened this issue and I really don't remember what I was talking about. However, I don't think that I meant on Grid (by Album), but on Grid view.

I just discovered that if I switch to the List view, set the wanted sorting and switch back to the Grid view, I will get files in the grid sorted as I wanted.

The workaround that I described in my previous post is not too much intuitive and requires more steps than someone would want. It would be much better if you add a header to the Grid view with the ability to add/remove fields to it, which could be used to set sorting order, just like with headers in the other views. List view have it. List (by Album) view have it, Grid (by Album) view have it. It is only Grid view without header.
