DescriptionSome corrupted MP3 files fail to update and sometimes causes crash in mediamonkeyengine.exe when Updating tags/Auto-Tag while playing.

Corruption is especially noted in "5 - Abba - The Way Old Friends Do (1996).mp3" whose wrong length (13 seconds) was read by MM, but file is actually 28 minutes long and corrupted in several places.

Sample files and MM log is uploaded to FTP

Given files are not MP3s, they seem to be files with WAV file structure, but with MP3 data. Some of the files also contain very large segments of zeroed bytes.

I cannot reproduce the crash, files are correctly recognized as not MP3 and not tagged at all, to prevent additional file corruption. Do you reproduce the crash? How? Could be only coincidence not related to these files at all. Please try to generate crash log and debug log.

Current Toast message should be more precise on why fail to write metadata, current one can be understood that MM is not capable to write tag to those files, while other apps are maybe capable.

Possible solution to add button to KB article which would contain known issues, solutions/workarounds in order that user can resolve such issues. Especially as MM in most cases is capable to play such tracks so converting format would resolve all problems?
